Creating connections is critical to having access to the right data – and getting insights from this data – from SAP Analytics Cloud. Learn more about it here.

To see the value in your data, you’ll have to make sure that you have access to this data from SAP Analytics Cloud by creating a data connection. Depending on where the data is stored, you will need to follow different steps to create the connection. With SAP Analytics Cloud, you can connect to data in different types of databases, as well as on-premise and cloud data storage.

When creating a connection, you can choose to setup a live data connection that is constantly updated or to import data when needed via a connection. Please note that for planning processes, SAP Analytics Cloud only supports import connections.

To get a quick overview of the Connections environment, please see our Guided Playlist about different types of connections:

And for detailed tutorials about connecting to every supported database or source, please see the SAP Analytics Cloud Connection Guide.
